In order for our program to be goal oriented and focused on our swimmers' performance, we must first establish a foundation on which the

CULTURE of our program will be built.

1) Understanding Our Program's Vision

Building Character. Feeding Dreams. Elevating Performance.

These pillars above serve as a daily guide for our dedicated coaching staff; their actions should ALWAYS be nested within these pillars.

2) Understanding Our Program's Mission

"Dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for developing athletes into resilient, character-minded top-performers through the sport of swimming and providing a pathway to collegiate competition and beyond."

CSTE is a goal-oriented program. It is never too early to start talking about athletic aspirations with children; all success starts with a GOAL. We will begin talking about swimming goals with your athletes as they enter Silver Group and introduce them to top-level swimming performances, so they know why they are in the pool each day.

Here at CSTE, we believe there is a collegiate program for every high school swimmer, whether it is NCAA D1, D2, D3, or NAIA. CSTE wants to be a part of your swimmer's collegiate goals. There are hundreds of college swim programs, and being a part of a team as students enter college provides an opportunity for immediate friendship and accountability.

3) Understanding Our Program's Values

Creative Development. Clear Communication.

Positive Accountability. Goal-Driven Dedication.

Passion For Excellence. Uplifting Attitude.

Our program's core values will serve as the cornerstone for developing our athletes. Each month swimmers and coaches will be recognized for their dedication to CSTE values. Value-based programs help create a unified and consistent culture where athletes can focus on their goals and serve as a foundation of accountability across the program.

Creative Development

Every athlete learns and is challenged in different ways; our coaching staff will seek new and engaging ways to teach your children the skills to achieve their swimming goals and continue to grow in the sport.

Clear Communication

Communication is crucial to all aspects of life. A focus on ensuring clear communication with our swimmers and parents will remain a priority. Likewise, we will expect athletes young and old to communicate with our coaches, providing athletes opportunities to ask questions and be engaged throughout practice.

Positive Accountability

Swimmers will be held accountable during practice. Standards will be defined and expectations will be given by our coaching staff. We will hold swimmers to a general standard of respect, including punctuality. Additionally, we will teach swimmers and groups to hold each other accountable in a positive and uplifting manner during practice, creating a healthy growth-oriented environment.

Goal-Driven Dedication

Our staff will be coaching each group with the "end in mind." Where do we expect our swimmers to be at certain times of the season? Our swimmers will also be expected to have clearly defined personal performance goals that are measurable. Additionally, our swimmers' goals will be used for their own personal accountability each season.

Passion for Excellence

We will instill a desire to be excellent in the execution of drills, sets, and stroke technique; mastering the basics each day. Attention to detail will be a primary component of each day's practice goals.

Uplifting Attitude

Our coaches will be expected to coach and correct in an uplifting manner. Correction is key to growth but we want to teach our swimmers to accept constructive criticism as they strive to develop their swimming abilities, and it will begin with our coaches setting the example. Swimmers will be expected to do the same while engaging with their teammates and their coaches.
